We have seen how the demise of many finance companies during the Global Financial Crisis has significantly impacted the New Zealand property market. With fewer non-bank financing options, it has meant property investors and developers have limited options if the bank says no.
Our ambition is to help change this and enable our clients to achieve their goals.
We pride ourselves at Newgate on what you see is what you get. There is no marble, trendy white furniture or sea views that you pay for. We want to keep things simple, be up front with our clients and enjoy an open and transparent relationship.

Simon Rowntree and James Brown established and created the Tournament Parking business from ground up. That business was the backbone for them building their own property investment portfolio, giving them a strong background in both business management and property. Their investment in Newgate Capital Limited is part of their wider investment portfolio that enables them to contribute back into an industry they understand and appreciate.
Jared has had a 19 year banking career specialising in the property market. His last role was as Head of Business Development and Structuring for the property finance unit of ASB. During his 3 years at ASB he was awarded the top lending prize for all 3 years, setting and breaking his own records in all key measures.
